There are obviously pros and cons to anything.

Pissing your opponent off is not necessarily a bad or a good thing.

Your opponents playing tighter against you is not necessarily a bad or a good thing.

An added andvantage of not chopping is that if your opponent is a 'chopper', he probably has little hu experience, so this can be exploited.
