Best Band Tourney Part 2
So we got mixed results, so I'm going to go on with it, but include a poll at the bottom so that people can vote on whether I should finish it up or not. I ommitted a couple from the 90's due to a miscount. Also, I didn't check on any of these for validity to time or anything, or add many of my own. If you have a complaint about a band that's not there, then you should've mentioned them in my other threads. Polls end in 2 days.

Re: Best Band Tourney Part 2
Offspring, Nirvana and Greenday should win 90s. But U2 will win because that is the band everyone is required to like even though they suck balls.

Re: Best Band Tourney Part 2
I actually haven't listened to Nirvana in a long time. They were a big band in the early 90s and basically kicked off grunge music and inspired a bunch of bands to come. Even if you don't like them, you probably like at least one band whose music was inspired by Nirvana. Offspring is one band who was encouraged by Nirvana (especially in the album "Ignition"). I am not currently a big Nirvana fan, but I respect them because they instigated a lot of the music I like today. That is why I think they should be considered a top band of the nineties.

Learn to read, and then when you were to young to participate in a music scene yourself you won't make horribly embarassing mistakes. |

Re: Best Band Tourney Part 2
In the 60's I voted for Dylan, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Doors.
70's: Tom Petty, Bowie, Led Zep, Who 80's: Police, REM, NWA, Beasties 90's: Countin Crows, Outkast, Sublime, Green Day The 90's definetly has the most depth, but the 60's and 70's are very top heavy and will likely produce the winner. |

You really should delete all those rappers from the 90s.

I think that Fleetwood Mac and the Smiths may suffer from the fact that they have to compete for votes with themselves

Re: Best Band Tourney Part 2
All I care about is that the SMASHING PUMPKINS win the 90's with Radiohead coming in close second. A little love for STP would be appreciated, too. I would understand Pearl Jam.
