Default Holdem Blinds

First let me explain my chip collection
I have increments of:
25 (500 Chips)
100 (500 Chips)
500 (200 Chips)
1000 (100 Chips)
All are printed with custome stickers, the set looks pretty sweet, so I can not have any other increments, I will not get any other increments either, that is what I have to work with.
Here is the blind system I worked out, I figure it usually works great with 3000 or 3500 in chips.
25 - 50
50 - 100
75 - 150
100 - 200
150 - 300
200 - 400
300 - 600
400 - 800
500 - 1000(it never really gets higher than this)
700 - 1400
900 - 1800
1000 - 2000

The blind system seemed to be working fine, however I recently discovered two things that I don't like.
A) I read online that if you are lower than 30x the BB than you are on a short stack, well if you keep your 3000 in chips too the second blind stage, you are at 30x the BB.
B) I don't know if it is just because my friends suck at poker, but it always seems like the heads up match is around the 300-600 stage, and both players have huge chip stacks compared to that stage.( doesn't bother me, I usually make it that far)

Are these things I shouldn't worry about? Should I not try to fix something that I don't really think is broken? Would you play this blind system if you came to my house?

Thoughts? New ideas?

20 minutes, maybe 15, depends on what everyone feels like. I think the final people end up with huge stacks and low blinds cause none of my friends have patients.... they go all in on the first or second blind increments on middle strength hands. SO I know I can't control that.

You could try a number of things. Try doing 15 minutes for the first two levels and then 10 minutes for every other one. That will speed your game up, but you should get deeper into you blind structure as well most of the time. Otherwise play tight, wait for a monster and rip the poor bastard that pushes with J 10

funny you should mention that, I was playing a cash game on sunday, 25/50 cent blinds, I called an Allin J10 with my AKs, flop was KJJ, it really sucked.

ooh that blows. I'd say if it's not bothering you that much, just stick with what works. You could just start everyone with more chips as well but personally, I think your system is just fine. Our structure at my weekly game is much worse than yours.

$10 buy in
every chip is worth 0.25
everyone gets $10 in chips
Blinds are .25/.50
then after 2 people are out they go up to .50/$1
then after 2 more people get out..$1/$2 and so on.
its a tournament with a cash game set up. I've been trying to get everybody to change it to how it should be, but with our group we have to have a vote. Nobody but me and another guy ever vote in favor of changing it.

sounds like my system except you start with 1000 in chips and there are no time limits. I would definitly try to get that changed. Everytime new people play my blind system, they say it is really good, and want copies of it for their games.
