damn the player they never show and should get some air time is Hung La. Played against him in LA a few times and he's damn solid. Fat guy canine (K9) and ducks gets all sorts of pub but a real good player in the ME 2 years in a row gets almost no mention

The dealers are full of it. If they were such experts on cash game play they wouldn't be poker dealers anymore. Unless they watch this big game for a long period of time and Doyle, Chip, and Ivey are losing money in it there is no way you could consider them fish. To say that Minh was a better player would even be a stretch unless there was a long period of results providing evidence of his dominance

They'd mention him and be like "oh ya, phan was the chipleader...anyways look at this guy"!

They only are going to show things on TV that'll interest the common viewer (ie donkey). They don't want to watch boring players. They want matusow, and whoever arguing and hellmuth yelling at other players for playing a hand badly.

If you don't have that you better be involved in a big hand against someone who ends up at the end of the tourn...

I would rather see actual play (which those quiet players end up doing) but at least Matusow is very entertaining and he can play. So that's why those players get shown.

The average viewer (again--donkey) would be very bored watching a table of Ly and La on it.

If Ly and Matusow did get into it obviously it wasn't as big as what they showed or else they would have shown it.

Matusow probably will earn himself one heck of an endorsement deal with somebody as a result of him probably going to be shown in every main event from now on.

They were to busy showing Matusow and sheikan bitching at each other! They also didnt show when Sheikan was busted out he and a few of his railbird buddys tried to get at Matusow.

the wsop+espn is sort of like porn, it's as if asian guys are a rare commodity
