Default New Party Side Bets - Where else to post this?!

Since these propositions are roughly $2 or so I think.. I am putting this questions here.

What is the EV on the sidebets that party offers on its hold 'em and omaha games?

You honestly think party is going to add something that is +EV for the players? There is no EV to it, might as well go play some blackjack,

Search or browse the Internet forum. There were lots of threads on this over the weekend. I think you're giving up something like 6+% on this bet.

If you are betting $1 on the flop to come either all red or all black, and you are getting 8 for 1 (notice this is different than 8 to 1), then your EV is computed:

Bet = $1

Win = +$7
Lose = -$1

Chances of winning = 26/52 * 25/51 * 24/50 = 0.11764

EV = (.11764 * $7) + ((1-.11764) * -$1)

= -$0.0589 per $1 bet

In summary, you expect to lose about 6 cents for every dollar that you bet.

I'm gonna start 10-tabling the sidebets. I think I can average 3BB/100 with proper preflop color prediction strategy.

Those things that predict players hole cards shuold be good at predicting colors on the flop to. I would get one if you are going to become a pro side bettor. It will be awhile until Party cracks down on the programs. I say go for it.

I recommend SSSB to get you out of the weak-tight thought process that seems to go with side-betting

I actually thought this for a second, when i worked out the math on the sidebet and saw that it was 7.5:1. Then i realized the sidbets pay out 8FOR1 and not 8:1.
