Default Vegas, NFL Sunday and Low-Limit Hold \'Em

Alright Vegas Cardroom experts. I am headed to Vegas in two weeks for about my 15th trip to Sin City. This time I am ditching my wife at home and going with the guys for some good old testoserone based fun. I've only played cards cardrooms there on three trips. I've played a lot at the Flamingo and not much elsewhere (Excalibur a little).

Now, my question is this, on Sunday we'd like to play some low-limit Hold 'Em and watch the games. We are staying at Imperial Palace and from what I understand that may be a possibility as they have some TV's and possibly even a big screen in their poker room. Also, I hear Harrah's new room might work as they have several (maybe even 15) TV's right in their poker room. Any comments and/or suggestions?

The Orleans has a dozen or better plasmas circling their poker room and have limits as low as 2/4 HE.

Many of the poker rooms in Vegas have televisions that broadcast sports throughout the day. The Imperial Palace has two big screens (one on each side of the room), and they usually have football games on those televisions Saturday and Sunday.

As another user mentioned, The Orleans does have televisions around the perimeter of the poker room, but these tv's are pretty small, and unless you're right next to one, you will not have a good view of the game.

Two of the better rooms that come to mind are Harrah's, which has the best tv setup of any room I can think of -- a huge big screen and multiple small screens -- and also the Excalibur, which doesn't really have any small screens but has a gigantic projection screen (probably the biggest screen of any card room in Vegas). The Excalibur ALWAYS shows sports - - and always shows an NFL game on its projection screen on Sunday.

A few others to add are the Mirage which has plasmas scattered around the room, 5 or 6 of them.

Also, the Palms has 4 in each of their 2 poker rooms.

NO volume would be preferrable for me and I'm used to watching up to 4 games at once on the setup I have here at home with the Sunday ticket.

Thanks to everyone for their replies so far, if anyone else wants to comment, please do so.

If betting on games AND playing poker(3-6), AND watching on as many as 20 screens, then you have only one place to go.

Right across the street a bit to the STARDUST HOTEL.

games are fishy enough but it is by far the best sportsbook in LV. Has been for years.

Tell the poker room manager "Bobby" That Larry loves Tunica and aint comin back!

Does the Stardust still have the "Texas Hold 'Em, just like on TV" on it's marquis (sp?).

It was still on the marquee when I was there about 6 months ago. I laughed out loud as I walked by and then took a quick U-turn and stopped in to see.
