Default TT UTG, Broadway flop...how many mistakes?

relatively loose table, UTG+1's stats are 31%/4%/2.67. i felt i played this terribly.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Jem is UTG with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Jem raises, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, MP3 3-bets, 1 fold, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls, Jem calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (15.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, Jem bets, UTG+1 raises, MP3 calls, Button calls, BB calls, Jem calls.

I think i really should have 3-bet this flop here...but AK seemed so likely to be out there....

Turn: (12.75 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, Jem checks, UTG+1 bets, MP3 calls, Button calls, BB folds, Jem calls.

i'll call this down hoping to fill up...flush is now possible...

River: (16.75 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
Jem checks, UTG+1 bets, MP3 calls, Button folds, Jem calls.

Crying call...

Final Pot: 19.75 BB

I think this hand would have turned out differently if I had 3-bet the flop. Bad line, or is the board scary enough to go into check/call mode?

Yes.

I don't think that's true, and if it is 3-bet anyway.

Yep, even if somebody has a straight, you still have 7 outs on the flop and 10 on the turn to make a boat or quads. With this many people still in, you're getting plenty of equity on your flop bets, even if you assume someone has AK. Plus, it's not all that likely that someone has a made straight. Raising the flop here will give you more info. I'd put in as many bets as possible on the flop and bet/raise the turn. If he doesn't slow down on the turn, then you worry about a straight.
