Default $200 Sngs on Party

I've been playing these for a while, and am amazed at the poor level of play in these. I do have questions though once it gets shorthanded, and everybody has around 5BB left. Around the bubble, do you guys tighten up if you're not shortstack? I seem to do this and bubble when the shortstack doubles up when he can barely cover the blinds, and I almost get blinded out. Any responses are appreciated.

Play for 1st, not 4th.

If you are 3rd in chips, don't assume shorty automatically busts out. You need to be pushing lots too

Read HOH2 for short handed play. If you've only got 5BB, then you've only got an M of around 3 or so (BB + SB + antes), with an effective M of half that (short-handed).
Therefore, you're clearly in the red zone...you should find a decent hand (A-8, KJ, 77) and go all-in to steal the blinds or possibly double up...as long as you're first to act.
Just because your opponents aren't doing it, doesn't mean you shouldn't. Like above poster said...play for 1st...going all in when your chips still mean something is very powerful. If you play 4 $200 SNGs and finish 3rd in 3 of them and 4th in one by playing conservatively when it comes to money time, then you're going to be way down. However, if you win 2 by doubling up at the right time and giving yourself a chance to win and go completely out of the money on the other two because of this same strategy, you're still going to be way up at the end of the day.

Hope that made sense.

I'm skipping the $55s and moving right up to the $200s.
