Default variance in heads up limit o/8

Not sure if anyone else plays much heads up O/8, but I do. I consider O/8 my best game next to PLO and play a pretty aggressive game both in short and full games. I have had 3 sessions in this last week of heads up where the results have been shocking. The first one involved my opponent taking me for 40 BB straight down, I scooped 2 pots out of the first 30. The second one involved a 30BB swing down followed by a 70 BB upswing, and the third involved a 25BB downswing before my opponent ran away. None of these sessions lasted more than 90 minutes.

These guys were bad too, really bad. I raised the river on a high only board when the flush hit on the river, he called and mucked, my Ace high no pair was good?!?!?

I find these sessions frustrating, in what is generally my most profitable game. Anyone else swing like this? Do my numbers seem reasonable?
