You cannot make an opinion on an entire population based on a trip you took once upon a time in Kiev. Better you say someone's opinion doesn't agree with your own than claim they have no right or basis to have it.

EDIT: And in any case, the point was that if multiple, unrelated strangers all thought, "Bitter," when they read her posts, there might be some validity to it.

[/ QUOTE ] That made no sense whatsoever. America is the country people are rushing to get in from all over the world, and has been for many, many decades, even centuries, not Russia. No amount of drinking would make women line up to go to Russia, unless it was they who were drinking, not their husbands. And to be fair, Russia's alcohol problem is far worse than America's. There's no way to change that or twist it around and still come out of it making sense.
