Default Should I make the call?

Hello odds people. Here's the situation:
.50/1.00 nlhe cash game

i'm in late position with KQo. early position raises to 3 dollars. two call and i call. (13.50 - 12+1.50 in the pot)

Flop comes Jc-5s-5h

So i'm sitting with two overcards. Preflop raiser bets 6 - call, call, on me and I CALL. (so the pot now has 37.50.

I was sure the raiser had the jack. Was I correct to call here?

Welcome to the forums.

You should post this on the NL small stakes forum board.

I don't like either the pf call or the flop call. But I don't play NL ring games.

I wouldn't be calling preflop and I definitely wouldn't be calling the flop bet. #1 You're already behind. #2 You could be way behind (set of 5s) #3 even if your K or Q comes, theres a good chance one of the other callers has AQ or or AK, not to mention the fact that the original guy might have JK. You're most likely dead. MUCK.

i was the certain bettor had the jack, most likely AJ as i know her to not preflop raise without a strong ace (especially when she continued betting). So no way did she have a 5 unless it was pocket fives (in which case she wouldn't bet.

Turns out I was right and the Q hit the turn. Sure it was lucky, but at the point of the flop call, it seemed the implied odds were in my favor as I was certain my KQ were both safe overcards.

Should also mentioned, she only had another $15 or so behind her and also i knew that three callers would slow her betting down. (anyone with a five would have raised the turn so I know I'd get the necessary info for 6 dollars).

What if she has AA or KK, or 1 of the other callers has a 5? If your right and the best hand is AJ if you don't have any backdoor draws, your odds of winning versus 2 other random cards around 14% with 2 overs. Your not getting the odds to call this, obviously it won, but it doesn't mean the call is right.

how can you be certain that the other 2 callers don't have any of those cards? i wish I was so certain before I made calls of what others had. i know you can narrow there hand down, but being certain is a whole other thing.

Implied odds calculated putting in 6 to potentially win close to 80 (once heads up) if the card hit (i would have pushed all others on draws out with the 90 behind me) made sense. I agree the preflop call was questionable and KQ is a big loser, however i think i was priced in by the flop.

Again, had she shown no fear with the Q on the turn (or others hadn't folded) i would have had a good idea of where I actually was. Interesting implied odds situation.

perhaps certain is too strong a word, however, knowing people, and more importantly, knowing a call of 3 dollars in early position preflop implies something other than a single 5/AA/KK/QQ and often even AK (all hands that would dominate me. If they had 55 - fine, take my money.
