Default Flopped set, flushed river

Villain is 20/7.5/2.5 over 40 hands.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) converter

Hero ($104.90)
Button ($158.05)
SB ($105.70)
BB ($27.15)
UTG ($100.50)
UTG+1 ($100)
MP1 ($150.20)
MP2 ($132.65)
MP3 ($99)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP3 calls $1, Hero calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, BB checks.

Flop: ($4.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 bets $4</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $15</font>, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, MP3 calls $11.

Turn: ($34.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP3 bets $10</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $40</font>, MP3 calls $30.

River: ($114.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP3 bets $43 (All-In)</font>, Hero...?

My main issue is the dorky turn raise - I need to push here I think.. anything bigger doesn't leave enough on the end to matter, anything smaller is losing value and giving odds.

As played, do I call the river?

Feel free to comment on all streets.

Looks like you figured it out. Get it in on the turn. Yes, make the crying call, you hand will be good more often then you think.

looks like A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]X[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I say call the river because you only have to be right less than 25% of the time.

However, I'd consider over-betting on the turn since you should have basically known his hand. Make it like $55 or $60. I don't think he gets away from it and you have at least 80% pot equity.

I think you're both very correct.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) converter

Hero ($104.90)
Button ($158.05)
SB ($105.70)
BB ($27.15)
UTG ($100.50)
UTG+1 ($100)
MP1 ($150.20)
MP2 ($132.65)
MP3 ($99)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP3 calls $1, Hero calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, BB checks.

Flop: ($4.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 bets $4</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $15</font>, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, MP3 calls $11.

Turn: ($34.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP3 bets $10</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $40</font>, MP3 calls $30.

River: ($114.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP3 bets $43 (All-In)</font>, Hero calls $43.

Final Pot: $200.50

Results:
MP3 has Ah 5h (flush, ace high).
Hero has 7h 7d (three of a kind, sevens).
Outcome: MP3 wins $200.50.

man, i hate when that happens, a fish on a draw catches his pair and suddently thinks hes got the nuts and won't let go. not that him calling your turn re-raise was a bad thing, but its unfortunate that he hit.

I don't mind so much so long as he misses the flush oh well, my bad for not pushing the turn - then great if he folds, great if he calls.

yeah its allways unfortunate when a set played correctly goes wrong like that. you have villain making so many profitable mistakes for you then he catches his money card. happens to the best of us

Turn push=bad, just pot it, or if you must 1.25-1.5 pot it, then get the rest in on river.

I'm not overbetting for the sake of overbetting - I'm "overbetting" based on stack size. After his $10 bet on the turn, we each have about $75 and the pot is $45. A pot sized raise is $55 from me, leaving only $20 behind - I may as well get it all in.
