($15) Turbo at Stars: 88 on the blind
Hand History is below. Basically, I was on the big blind with 88 against a couple limpers, early in the tourney. Blind is 30, I have T1200, two limpers, button makes it 120 to go, SB folds and it's up to me. I see this as a raise/fold situation and a close call, though I could be wrong about that, and since its early against a possible move, I figure I'll play back to head off future shenanigans. Does this seem right?
As you can see in the HH, I got 2 calls, and decided to make a move at the flop (9T3), rather than check-fold against the 9 and 10. Does that seem totally out of line? I would've just written this off as a simple bad beat, but since one of the players seemed to believe I had over-played my hand, I'm wondering if maybe I did, at least in the sense that it was unnecessarily risky. Thanks for any help. |
