Fold QQ after u reraise to isolate?

Blinds are 600/1200

Have 22K in chips

Have QQ in the CO, UTG+1 raises AI to 6500 (he just had a bad beat) I reraise to 14K to isolate, SB has 18K in total and is all in - I figure he must have AA or KK - but can't fold for another 4K - but should I?

You were pot committed when you raised over half your stack, you must call.

thats what I figured - 4K to win nearly 45K or so (or 36K if I dont beat the small stack)

Just nagging at me tho, coz if I call knowing I am behind I am now really shortstacked rather than just shortstacked! (6k rather than 10K - most players on the table had 4-6 K in chips, so someone is AI every hand)

really tricky choice for me as I am still learning

you kidding? you have 8k left if you fold... 4k left if you call and lose... and nearly 40k if you call and win... no choice here. you're only a 4:1 dog if he has A's or K's and you're getting nearly 10:1

Definite call, even if he flips his cards over and shows KK/AA.

it's all about the pot odds here. there is no way you can fold this getting 10:1 with any cards, let alone Qs. your attempt to isolate with your initial re-raise was good - don't make a mistake now because you suddenly got scared of another player entering the pot. folding here is a horrible mistake and if you continue to do so you will be leaving a lot of $ on the table.

thanks all - I did indeed call to face AA [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] (the other had 10 10)

I just wanted to make sure calling was correct despite knowing I am behind - it was just the thought of having around 9K left if i folded rather than 4 and a bit which I wanted to check, coz I know that when I push with 4K I will be called, but with 9k i might be able to steal the blinds
