Default 3/6(6-max): Second pair and flush draw, 3-bet push

Just curious if people think this is overkill. I hadn't been at the table too long but had played one blinds battle vs. this guy last orbit and bet flop and took it down on the turn. The big point of this bet was to establish the fact that I won't be easily pushed around and you need a solid hand to play with me. Probably standard, but here it is...

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Hero ($634.65)
BB ($600)
UTG ($748.08)
MP ($600)
CO ($609)
Button ($1009.55)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $3.
4 folds, Hero (poster) raises to $22, BB calls $19.

Flop: ($50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $30, BB raises to $100, Hero calls all-in($579.65), BB folds.

Final Pot: $756.65

Use up that FE. Playing the rest of this hand OOP would be 0 fun. Flush card kills action. Looks goot.

Do you push QQ or 88 here? Your hand looks exactly like a draw.

Bet pot on flop, then your push isn't as much of an overbet, and is more believeable as a real hand.

Since this is a blind battle, there's some chance that he calls you with something like AQ, which I think makes the play a little better. If you're only getting called by sets, the play loses a ton of value, because you don't have anywhere near the same equity.

Getting called here by AQ isn't a good thing.

Clearly we want him to fold it a large portion of the time, but if we're only getting called by sets here, we might as well only have the flush draw.

If AQ calls, it's a 50/50 shot. While we'd rather just take the dead money, it's not exactly a bad spot.

When a set calls, we're a 2:1 dog and in deep trouble.
