AKs 3/6 raised on turn when board pairs
Villian is 45/10/1.5.
Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, UTG calls. Final Pot: 9.50 BB Anyone 3betting this turn? And if so, then folding to a cap? Given the 3rd queen landing on the river, anyone feel it is unlikely enough that villian has the 4th queen that we can CR this river? |

Re: AKs 3/6 raised on turn when board pairs
if I don't 3bet the turn, I am surely raising the river.

Re: AKs 3/6 raised on turn when board pairs
No, don't 3-bet it. This could be a worse king, but it could definitely be something bigger.
I raise the river in case he was bluffing on the turn or slow-played the JT straight. |

Re: AKs 3/6 raised on turn when board pairs
I'd call the turn raise and raise the river, if i played 3/6 (2/4 )

[/ QUOTE ] villian like never has 99...UTG it's a simple raise unless villian was like 10/0/retarded or something. the only debate in the hand, IMO, is if we should c/r the river or bet/call. 1. c/r gets us 2 bets (if we know he is going to bet) but when he doesn't bet we have the best hand 100% of the time and we lose a bet. it also opens us to a 3bet which would suck i think (at best we split). 2. bet/calling gets at least 1, sometimes 2 bets in on the river. however he could fold to our bet but more often than not he'll call with just about anything here. i think bet/call is the best because we dont risk him checking behind when we have the best hand and we dont open ourselves up to a 3bet. if he doesn't call our river bet then chances are he wasn't going to bet anyway and we didn't lose anything. |

Re: AKs 3/6 raised on turn when board pairs
why aren't you raising the river? or at least bet/calling the river, check/call there is really weak IMO

Re: AKs 3/6 raised on turn when board pairs
I would b/c this river. You're almost always ahead or splitting. He may have the case Q once in a while here, but he was probably on some type of turn semi-bluff or slowplay (jt) with this raise more often than not.

I'm not 3-betting the turn. C/R the river though. You have the best hand here way more then you are bet by a Q
