Default Think I\'m pushing too much

I find myself pushing a lot, probably more than I should be. Any time I have 2 pair or better (provided the board justifies it) I push. Also If I have a decent hand and it looks like my opponent or multiple opponents may be on a draw, I push. I think I'm losing money by trying to get my opponents to fold rather than make unprofitable calls. How much you guys would bet these hands in place of my all in bet? (or another street)

Bet more on the flop in hand 2. Other than that, I would say that all of these hands look OK, except for the fact that it's unlikely that you'll get called by anything that you beat.

You are actually lucky you're not getting called, because with those flops, you have a decent chance of being behind. I think you're going to regret pushing one of these hands.

Can you give me an example of what you would bet? I agree I have been very fortunate so far

I do this a lot, but usually with real hands.

I don't get it? None of my hands were a bluff, I was either pushing to protect my hand (#1) or for value (#2 and 3, though It may not have been the best choice)

Hand 1-Lose to any 5. Any set. Any higher pair.

Hand 2-Lose to 9/Q, A/Q

Hand 3-Lose to J/Q.

Both 2 and 3 could have flopped O/E straight draws easily. And they got there on the river. Luckily for you, you weren't up against one.

Hand 1: what 5 do you put him on? what set or higher pair? I can't start worrying about those until he shows aggresion, which he had the perfect opportunity when I check raised him. Though I agree the turn all in was not good, which is the purpose of this thread (does anyone want to tell me if they would bet it different?)

2: Both AQ and Q9 are possibilities but so are any pair, any smaller 2 pair. Again how much to bet?

3: QJ is a strong possibility, top pair is also. but regardless is this a hand I can ever fold? I have a set and an all in could be a lot more than QJ

Hi Alpha, 2/3 to pot sized bets instead.

I'm sure you eventually get called and crushed, it makes you too easy to avoid though is also a bad side effect, giving folks the correct odds to FOLD.

Get Russell Fox/Scott Hanker's new NL book: Mastering No Limit Hold'em, should help you HEAPS.

i dont know if you knew this

but hand 1

was a bluff

ee-gawd.

then again

Party 25

is a jungle

where that may not be

so nice hand.

hand 2

i like

but for

different reasons

why so much on flop?

you like betting.

I do too.

hand 3

do not donate 4bbs.

check that.

and fold.

given you bet.

nice call.

the king.

does make QJ very possible.

but

once again

allows a very small window

for draws

bet less

you want calls.

you have aggression down well

time to decide

how much to press
