Default Finding Leaks: Pass on 100 hand histories to another player

Idea stolen from ZeeJustin for davidross which resulted in doubling david's win rate. Since spotting your own leaks is hard if you don't know they are leaks.

So here's the plan, anyone who's interested replies here saying which stakes and site they play at. Soon as we have 2 players playing the same stakes/site they take it to PM, email swap their last 100 hand histories. Then the players checking the hand histories post the hands on here which they think the other player did something wrong in.

It should be better to keep all the player's hands in one thread since some the leaks/answers may be small, i.e. 'he completed the SB with this.'

Lets see how this goes, i'm playing party's $100 NL.

Playing the following:

Paradise $50 NL tables ($.25/$.50)
Stars $5 NL tables ($.01/$.02)
UB $50 NL tables ($.25/$.50)
Party $25 NL tables ($.25/$.50)

Anyone wanting to do some exchanges, let me know...

Well, I am currently playing freeroll tournaments and SNGs on UB right now. I guess that would be like the blind leading the blind if I had any takers.

I love this idea, because it's so hard to be truly objective about your own play. Would 100 hands be enough to spot some leaks? Would it be more helpful to include your notes on a player? Or would that just be meddling or rationalizing your mistakes? Because I do some bizarre things when I have a read... and even when I don't.

Anyway, I'm also on party's $100 NL. As soon as I get home I'll get some history under my belt.

I'll PM you my e-mail address. Then reply with yours i'll send my last 100 through, some interesting ones in there. Send yours through when you have them.

Don't include the notes, just send the hand histories as they are. Once we start to discuss them you can meantion your notes or reads.

The hand coverter is also at http://www.stompandcrush.com/cgi-bin/hhparser.cgi, just to make it easier when you post the other player's hands.

I'd definitely be interested in doing this, my most common games right now are:

Party $100 NL
Party $200 PL
UB $1-2, $2-4 and $5-10 NL

Great Steal, Jay.

SWNLHE Player, looking for same who enjoys playing PP $50 Tables and perusing hand histories.

Edited to add: Does anyone using pokertracker know if there's any way to get hands from the database into a form that could be traded for this exercise? I have 100 hands at PP $100 that would be much more worthwhile than my $50 hands, but they're already imported into PT and I delete the e-mails (small laptop hard drive).

I'll take 100 of yours too aces. For the $100 game. I'll send my next 100 through to you as well.

If you play both the $200 and $100 at the same time just send them through anyway. I'm down $1000 in the $200 though and manage to lose everytime i sit due to horrible match ups in the cards.

Just to recap the idea before everyone gets involved then realises how much work going through 100 hands is:

1. Find someone who plays the same game as you.

2. Trade hands.

3. Read them. Converter and post the ones you think are worth talking about.

4. Start a thread of 'Person Name's Hands.'

i'm definitely down for this, although i'm currently in a poker mood where i only want to play when encouraged by a deposit bonus.

but if anyone wants to send me 100 hands so i can test my skills, fire away.
