This guy was doing everything he could to avoid playing hands with me.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is that why he 3bet you w/ 88 from UTG+1?

[/ QUOTE ]

He 3 bet me with 88 from UTG+1 because the game was shorthanded and he was trying to protect what he probably thought was the best preflop hand, not to try and isolate me.

[ QUOTE ]

I raise under the gun with AA, and UTG+1 3 bets me with 88 and I cap it

Since when did the Borgata make it capped betting heads up?

but this surreal hand went down in the 80/160 game:

[/ QUOTE ]

You're right, capping is not technically what I did. I made it 4 bets and he just called. My bad.

I don't understand how the river went an even number of bets. If you're leading and he's putting in the 2- and 4-bets, then he puts in the 6-bet. Did you just call with the nuts? Or did he call your 5-bet or 7-bet? Or did you make this hand up?

[/ QUOTE ]

I was leading, so it must have been 7 bets. I didn't think too hard about it when I typed out the post real quick. Didn't make the hand up though, you'll notice others in this thread heard the shouting from across the room.

Oh, okay. Didn't realize that it was shorthanded.

The Business...read this post.

Now I really wonder if this hand happened.

[/ QUOTE ]

Lol...regardless of my past indiscretions, the hand happened. There were witnesses, my friend. I've never posted something on 2+2 that didn't happen. That would be a waste of everyone's time.

On the flop he doesn't know the other guy has 88. It was capped pre-flop, he's just as likely to have KK as 88.

Check the flop and KK probably knows he has 2 outs. Bet it and KK may think he's good, or may think he can steal.

no reason to go 4 bets preflop, imho, unless your goal is to gain a half bet and let him know you have him dominated.

If the third player doesn't call any bets before it becomes headsup, then there is no cap.
