Didn't make the hand up though, you'll notice others in this thread heard the shouting from across the room.

On the flop he doesn't know the other guy has 88. It was capped pre-flop, he's just as likely to have KK as 88.
Check the flop and KK probably knows he has 2 outs. Bet it and KK may think he's good, or may think he can steal.

no reason to go 4 bets preflop, imho, unless your goal is to gain a half bet and let him know you have him dominated.
