While I thank you for your suggestion, I know not all Texas Hold'em books are created equal. I was hoping to hear from some players how the books are; not just look at the list of books on two plus two. I just wanted to be sure I could get the most value for a book rather than buy a book that helps less than simply putting that money at the table and gaining more experience by playing w/ that.

What are you asking? My first poker book was by Ken Warren. Then I bought Lee Jones "Winning Low Limit Holdem", borrowed HEFAP, and bought SSHE. The most helpful was SSHE. That may be because I understood the game better, but I think it's just the best book for low limits.

If you've never read a poker book, unless you're a natural poker genius, any of these will help. That said, I still recommend SSHE over any of the others listed.
