Default OT: How do I increase my screen resolution past 1024*768

I want to try and play 2 tables at once, but I can't get the games side by side. I clicked on the desk top... properties...settings, but it tells me my max screen resolution is 1024*768 pixels. Now this seems weird since I have a flat screen monitor and a special high resolution graphics card (G Force or something). Does anyone know how I can increase the pixels so I can play two games or more at once? Thanks

Make sure you have the most recent drivers for your card.

Verify that your monitor supports higher res. Most midrange monitors don't.

if u have an lcd, it's very very possible that you bought a 1024x768 screen...it has no more pixels to give u

u need to buy a 1600x1200 lcd or most 19+" crts

Ok do you have a flat screen or a flat panel? Believe it or not the nice thin monitors that everyone loves are very expensive at the higher resolutions. It's possible your flat panel ony goes up to that res.

1) Check the make and model and look it up online.
2) Check your video drivers to make sure you have the most updated ones.
3) Drop the number of colors (going from 32 million to 16 million, will yield you 2x the size of the screen if memory is the problem)

Good luck!

yeah, be sure you even installed them to begin with. this is most common thing I can think of. (besides your monitor simply not supporting that res)
