Default NEW BOOK ALERT

Professional Hold'em Play by Play - Mike Caro

Essential Practice and Theory in No-Limit Hold'em Tournaments - Avery Cardoza

The Making of a Poker Player: How an Ivy League Math Geek Learned to Play Championship Poker - Matt Mattros

Matt's book surprised me. Carro and Cardoza's books are to be expected, and I'm sure they will appeal to their respective markets.

Matt's book has been in the works for a while, and I think it was discussed on this forum a while back. Here's his web site.

Cardoza writes in a recent Player magazine about how he just recently took up poker, now he's writing an instructional book on the game?

Caro's book should be good.

I love how the Caro's Hold Em book has a 5-card draw hand on the cover.

I would be interested to see that one though.

I didn't even notice. I never look at the covers. That's pretty damn funny.

cardoza probably sells a lot by association anyway, since he writes lots of other gambling books too.

Maybe there's a game called "Professional Hold'Em" where each player gets 5 hole cards?
