Fold, villian just told you he had 88. 2 pair is not an option here unless villian is completely terrible (and will call a PFR with K8, K4 or 84...how likely is that?)

Only other option is he is trying to pick off your continuation bet, but I dont see why he would attempt to do that in this spot. The only holding that villian could possibly have that you beat is KQ, and he might have AK for a chop, but I don't see a check-minraise with AK happening.
