raise less pre-flop? in retrospect, i think i should probably call this flop bet, see if he leads turn again ....but come on, this has to be Ax like 90+% of the time right? i played this terribly and i dont know any way out of it

i guess he could be betting KQ here if hes an idiot, but this is like the 2nd hand

Your preflop raise is fine. I would have raised the same amount. On the flop, with a couple backdoor draws and KK I would probably call the small bet. (getting 7-1) If he leads again on the turn, Im out of there. If he checks, then Im applying the gas.

Villain could have JT or a club draw here, he doesnt have to be betting the A.

Calling then betting if checked to on the turn is massive spewage.

Since you have no read on him as a weak player, you have to give him some respect. After all, he raised UTG PF, then after you showed strength (re-raising) and BB showed strength (calling EP raiser and re-raiser) he calls. Then he bets into 3 players -- 2 who have position on him. Possibly he's weak and overplayed 2 lower clubs or foolishly bluffs into 3 other players who all showed some strength, but if he did, just tip your hat to him and move on. Her certainly might have AQ, AJs, 99 here. If he's dumb enough to bet 88 or TT here, you don't know that yet plus BB still to act, who might have his own Ace or set or str8 draw.
