Default Best AC tourneys to hit on Sunday 12/18?

Assuming Mother Nature doesn't throw another surprise curveball, or something come up to kill my Sunday plans, I'm tentatively headed for the Queen by the Sea in two weeks.
I was going to try some tourneys and would appreciate any recommendations or warnings:

Here are the Sunday tourneys as listed on the Web:

TAJ MAHAL

NLHE $80+$20 at 10:15 a.m and 6:15 pm
$T5K in chips, $25/50 open, 20 min rounds

Has the Taj started running satellites for the 2006 US Poker Championship yet?

BORGATA

Is the early 11 am tourney always a Ladies Only?
$80+20 $T5K stack, 25 minutes, $25/50 blinds,

NLHE $85+15 7 pm NLHE
$25/50, 30 minute levels, $T5K in chips
You can buy in late, "until the second level" ?

What do they do for this? "Level 14 and beyond by tournament director. "

S&G's that run from 10 am to 10 pm
$60+15, $120+20

T2K in chips, 25/50 start, 15 min levels, $500/$100 for first/second
T2500, 25/50 start, 15 min, $1000/200

TROPICANA
NLHE with one add-on (immediately, or as long as you don't bust out before round 3?) I don't know the add-on cost or amount of chips- can anyone fill me in?
12:15 pm
$100+$25; T4K stack, 20 min rounds but an ugly $50/100 starting blind

Showboat has $40 buy-in tourneys at 11 am and in the evening. I wasn't sure about Harrahs, Caesar's or other smaller rooms.

MY PLAN: Arrive for the 10:15 Taj tourney. If I bust out early, hit the Borg or Trop tournaments. Not sure what tournament to hit in the evening- is the Borg too much of a zoo to get into?

Thanks

I was in town a few weeks ago with some friends who didn't want to spend much but wanted to play tournament poker. We ended up at the tiny poker room at the Sands. They were running the cheapest tournament I've ever seen at a casino, buyin was $30 or so. Actually had about 80 players. This was a Friday night. I think they have a Sunday tournament that is slightly more expensive, but still very cheap.

I played the 11am Showboat and it wasn't bad. They are not busy, there is open registration, the room is nice, the staff is nice and they ran the tourney efficiently.

When I tried to play the Borgata, they only set aside 5 tables (the room was full, they were busy with cash games). An hour before the tourney started they were full and, instead of clearing out another table or two, they started a waiting list.

The tourney started and they seated 11 players at each table. I was alternate number 10 and the seated 8 more, only during the first two levels of play which was 50 minutes. They tournament staff was friendly but the card room managers were less than accomodating.

Haven't been anywhere else yet. I recommend cross posting this in the B&M forum

No one has a "this one better than that" recommendation for next weekend?

Sands has a 60+20 rebuy at 8PM (unless they changed it. They changed the 50+15 rebuy on Friday to a 20+10 freezeout. I wasn't too happy to show up and find that out.)

It depends on the structure and buyin you prefer.

Some people prefer freezeouts or rebuys. Harrahs W,F,and Sa tournaments and the side events to some major tournaments, particularly at the Taj, have a fairly slow structure, which a lot of good player like. Caesars has an extremely fast structure.

The Taj almost never sells out. Tropicana and Borgata have limited tables available, and usually sell out early.

I bet you WEREN'T!

"It depends on the structure and buyin you prefer."

Agreed, but I wasn't as concerned about that as I was interested in "ratings" on better tourneys, from those in the know/experienced at them.

Thanks, your information was helpful.

The last time I did this, I busted out early from the Taj, hustled over to the Trop..... and found out that they'd cancelled the tournament.
