I think this is a good example of how slow-playing can kill a hand (not the results in this case).

With a board like this and a well hidden monster, the turn may be a much easier place to get chips than the river. Just calling, we give up too much value to any hand that is going to give us significant action. I dont think there are that many hands that are going to lead the river if we call that wont call a raise here, and a moderate river bet by Hero.

I think in this hand, he either has a hand that will allow for a lot of action (A9, TT, etc), or he has a drawing hand that will shut down if he misses. Either way, we want money going in now, while he is willing.

Sorry if I came off sounding like an ass, it was unintentional.
A limp can just mean anything really, and I don't think they buyin varies it that much.
