Seems like everyione he ran into was either a drunk, an idiot, a terrible player, a terrible dealer, or a pissy floor person. He did think one person in the cage was ok for selling him some chips and picking through them though.

I call them like I see them. There are plenty of drunks in vegas! The booze is free!!

You really bought a rack of chips at face value?

For someone who does not seem to have a ton of poker experience you sure seem quick to call everyone else morons. Nice report... but you seem like a nit.

I already had 2 racks, bought a 3rd rack. I use them for my cash game. 200 was ok, but 300 is perfect for my game. Plus, I'm just borrowing them. Since Binions just released these chips about a month or so ago, I will hopefully have a few years to cash them in if something better comes out, or if I'm in vegas and need an extra $300. I brought the other 200 as an emergency fund. Luckily didn't need them.

thanks for the report. i enjoyed it.

incidently, a loose beatable game that you are underrolled for is exactly the time when the emergency chips need to be broken out.

I've been playing limit for 15+ years, only been playing no limit for about a year now, still learning, but I know dumb plays when I see them. Calling a $50 raise with pocket 3's does seem like a dumb play. You disagree?

Next time!

It was the first table I sat down at in vegas, didn't want to risk my whole roll with two days to go. I like to have 3X the max buy in and just didn't want to risk it.

I don't disagree...but that is not quite my point. The AK hand sticks out as well as when the lady called you an a$$hole. Don't get me wrong... I think it was a good report and nice job on the cash.

I admit I played crappy on Sunday. I was on about 3 hours sleep, should have gotten more. I think that's also why I had a money finish on Saturday -- got plenty of sleep and was able to think clearly.

The lady that called me an [censored] was pissed off the second she sat down -- came from another table, don't think she was doing well. When I asked her to show I wasn't trying to be an a**hole, just was dying to see her cards, figured it might be close. I felt bad even though most others at the table thought it was funny.

Also forgot to mention about Excalibur -- they have a bad beat bonus and jackpot. The jackpot is the usual one found at many casinos. Additionally, if you get Aces cracked you get to spin a wheel. The lowest amount on the wheel is $20, highest was $100 (not sure though). There's a double and triple also. When someone got to spin the wheel, we were making side bets on what color would hit (3 colors). That and the free food were resons I liked Excalibur most. I will probably stay there next time, or at least near it. Absolutely no complaints about the Golden Nugget though. The Poker room there is well run and the staff is friendly.
