I have to admit, I love them. I have perfect vision, but they keep me from having to call out every single card to the guys on the ends of the table.

I also admit that the "die hard" players in my group really hate these cards. I think any break from rules or tradition really "gets to" some of my friends.

I hear ya! Good to mess with people every now and then. I had some cards a while back (Gemaco maybe?) and the face cards had bug eyes. Every time a face card came, people would make comments.

Ha - Reminds me of some Vegas casino cards like the Flamingo (face cards have flamingo-like heads), Caesars Palace (Roman style face cards) etc...

We like to break them out once in a while.

Shoot, that's nothing. I have a girl in my home game, who, when we play at her place, always throws at least one deck of Disney "princess" cards into the mix. There are no pips... it's all Disney people dancing and all the face cards are Disney heroines. Blah!

"I have to admit, I love them. I have perfect vision, but they keep me from having to call out every single card to the guys on the ends of the table. "

I have similar thoughts on my setup of Kem Magnums

"I also admit that the "die hard" players in my group really hate these cards. "

Same thing here. What is nice about them is the small pips in the corners, so you don't have to roll a large amount of card to read the pips like you do with Jumbo or Super index cards.

If you can get used to the overly large center figures, they do help with big tables and end players.
