So, the flush hits, you two check to the "chronic slowplayer", and he bets 1/3pot. If he had a low flush, would he bet more? That'd be a terrible bet to make with a set, but you haven't said he's not terrible. Could you comment a little more on what you think his turn action means?

One slight problem with the hand... it says the guy raised to $18 preflop.. thats not possible. The blinds are 5/10 in NL1000 so your whole post is obviously a scam because the min raise is to $20.

Or, he's playing the $600 at this point despite his penchant for making moves in the 1K.

this is a reply to u in general not just for this hand. I think when you revue hand like the one with the 9999 u look at your opponents play based on what you would do. Like raise pre-flop or on the flop with AQ. U pigeon hole yourself by doing this sometimes, im not trying to be a dick u just have to realize people do things in different situations usually on a wimb , just cause they feel like it.

Among other things, whim is not spelled wimb.

On the turn I thought he had a flopped monster or a flush, size of flush probably small considering his button limp, and like i pointed out not the A high almost for sure

I just want to say that I post hands that Im unsure about because I respect the forum and like the constructive criticism/commentary

When I try something new its usually for educational purposes for myself, trying to develop my game and maybe be more creative

I would never have considered playing this hand in this manner only a few short months ago

creed, in the right type of game, there's nothing wrong with playing J7s. With bad players that are willing to risk their stacks on less than the nuts, or are overbetting their hands, sure you call with J7s.

Regarding the play... I think it's a great idea if you set up players earlier by overbetting a pot, then showing a bluff. This is the type of move that depends on your past history, I think... otherwise you're getting called by a better flush.

EDIT: I just noticed he called a raise preflop with J7s... you gotta be playing against pretty bad players to do this, I think.
