Default Did Binions switch chips?

Just saw this auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...13880&rd=1

I had heard that Binions was chaning their name. Are these new chips currently in circulation?

Was? Did. Binions is no longer the "Binions Horseshoe"(as you can see on the chips). They/it is owned by Harrahs Entertainment since last year.

Binions changed chips a few days ago. The Horseshoe name and the WSOP name is now property of Harrah's. Since the Horseshoe casino wasn't part of the sale, the casino is now just Binions.

The new chips issued by the new operator, MTR Gaming, are in circulation. A sign at the cage says that all of the old Binion's Horseshoe chips were cancelled as of 3/11/05. They can be redeemed through sometime in June at the casino cage.

Wow! So how long until the OBS chips show up on Ebay so we can all pay $3 for the $1 chips...

I was thinking of getting 200+ $1 chips, new ones aren't bad though + I like blue more.

I got a pamphlet from my entry to the 2005 WSOP. The first days will be at the Rio, but the last 3 days will be at Binions Gambling Hall.

definately do not get the old horseshoe chips. the are the white $1 chips that have been in circulation for over a year, and are absolutely filthy. get the blue ones.

the last two days (maybe three?) will be held at binion's. this wasn't even going to happen because harrah's owns the world series name but oscar goodman (mayor of lv) negotiated with both properties to let the last days of the main event play out at the horseshoe.
