Default Sudden influx of utter tools?

Ok, lately, as in the last week or so, very nearly every table I've played at has had one abusive moron. Usually plays like a maniac, but not always. However, every hand is accompanied by a tired of textual filth, aimed at (usually) whoever wins or loses against said tool in that hand.

Its not like I've not seen these guys around before, its just the percentage seemed to shoot way up in a short period of time. Is it just me? Or have they always been around in such numbers and "variance" placed me mostly on tables where they were not? This is party and skins, by the way.

I've seen quite a few lately that make comments after every hand they lose. It used to just be the suckouts, but I've seen a lot of people bitching lately just because they don't hit a flop.

I got into it with one guy recently for giggles... I was on tilt and instead of playing like crap or throwing stuff around, I just made fun of him. It calmed me down real quick.

A little warning for all... if you're prone to throwing stuff when on tilt, make sure to drink out of plastic cups and not glass.

Let's see:

- ESPN's WSOP coverage has started (featuring massive number of PP ads).

- It's bonus whore days at Empire. Whole bunch of semi-beginners who've read one book and live in fear of losing more than the value of the bonus.

- CNBC (or MSNBC, or one of the other million cable NBC channels) just hyped and re-ran the heads-up championship match between Hellmuth and Jesus, with Hellmuth at his trash-talking best (worst?)

Do you need any more reasons?

I tend to see one of those guys every session, and my number one gripe is when someone is freely and HAPPILY tossing their cash around, some guy has to (usually angrily) hassle the guy instead of waiting for his turn to get paid off. I usually end up typing a PSA to remind people how to mute a player. Oddly enough, that often puts the tool on tilt.

I have no problem reporting people that are being abusive, it will ruin the game if no one stops it.
