Seems justifiable enough to me at the time too, but obviously it didn't work out or you wouldn't be posting. I'm guessing he had the Ac with another medium club and sucked out. The only thing I would have done different from you is probably push straight away when reraising instead of just doubling him. Unlikely it changes anything though.

I'd bet a little more on this flop, say $10.
After he raises to $25, tons of $ in the pot already, so either raise to $75 or push |
