66 in the BB against a steal...I flop what??
Last of the triumvirate of hands...
Party Poker 2/4 (10 Handed) I have 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the BB. All fold to the SB, who raises, I call. Flop: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] He bets, I call. Turn 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] He bets, I raise, he makes it three, I insta-cap. River Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] He bets, I raise, he calls. Did I overplay this? Should I have just called the river? This was my first hand at the table, so no reads. Thanks for the imput . |

Re: 66 in the BB against a steal...I flop what??
3 bet preflop
The way you played it. I go ahead and raise the flop. You wont get credit for a hand anyway, and if he really does have a hand he'll 3 bet, or go for the turn checkraise. Waiting till the turn to raise, just says "I really do have a hand" and it lets him dump easily his A high or whatever. Where a flop raise lots of times just makes him suspicious and hell call down with his A high cuz he thinks you are bluffing. I like the river raise. |

I realized that I should have 3 bet PF, which would have given me more action on the flop. I also liked my river raise, and I was very fortunate that he didn't 3 bet me with his rivered set of queens. Thanks for the imput.
