Default Early in touraments

I recently built a roll and lost it the next day but the problem was that early in tourneys i was playing TOO tight i wouldnt play a hand until i got the aces or kings which then i would only pick up the blinds, does anyone have an alternative answer of how i should play?

Read Tournament Holdem for Advanced Players (or something like that) by Sklansky, then read Harrington on Hold Em volume 1. Then play some more hands.

I have an alternative to your sentence structure...start mixing in some periods. As for your question you should fill us in on the details. Multi table SnGs or large field tournaments? Sounds like you were playing above your bankroll.

Whatever you were playing you don't have to play nearly that tight. When you are in position you can raise with hands that are a lot weaker than monsters.

Keep reading and improving.
