Tourney - monotone push?
20+2 MTT Tourney on Empire
90 runner, 11 players left, 10 get paid 6-handed. Blinds 150-300; Average stack is T7000 or so. We are two biggest stacks at table and maybe 3-4th overall. Typical Empire prize structure: 10th place is $54, 3rd is $200, 1st is $580 3 folds to Hero in Button (13,000) with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero raises to 800 SB folds BB (13,500) calls. BB was loose preflop VPIP 33 but seems decent postflop. We have not played in many pots together and I haven’t been stealing his blind much, but instead have been stealing from the two players to his left. I’ve been chip leader and a bit loose maybe VPIP ~25-30 and fairly aggro. Flop comes 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] pot=T1,750 BB checks Hero bets T1,000 Hero has frequently been continuing like this, usually taking it. BB raises to T2,000 Hero calls T1,000 Turn is J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] pot =T5,750 BB bets T2,000 Hero pushes Comments? |

Re: Tourney - monotone push?
I like it, you have a lot of outs, but hopefully he wont call. Then again his betting seemed to invite action like he flopped a flush.
I think I would have rather gone all in on the flop to his checkraise, but I'm really not sure. |

Re: Tourney - monotone push?
i like it. you're here to win i hope. you are putting villain a decision for all his chips and you have a good amout of outs, and best of all, you have some good fold equity.
