AA, villian pushes

Is there any way the button does not have a set here? I can't see just smoothcalling MP3's preflop minraise with any overpair. And what about MP3? If I call this, I have to worry about going up against two people? It seems pretty likely that one of these two has me beat here. |

Re: AA, villian pushes
Raise more preflop.
With this many people seeing the flop, given the action, I think I fold here. |

Re: AA, villian pushes
you made a weakass flop bet.....so they might be trying to take this away from you...if you lead for $12 i wonder how the complexion of this hand changes. That aside, you've been raised, and reraised all in. Unless they have 10 10 and JJ, you are behind to a set. Button is not playing anything that makes 2 pair on this board so his range of hands is 10 10 - AA (although AA not likely given your hand), 22, 77 or 99. MP3 could actually have just a 9, maybe A9 suited, or 910 suited and he's just an idiot, you didn't post a read on him. It seems like a really wierd way to play a set, but it's probably the most likely hand. I think you are in second place here. If it was just you against button i'd consider calling as this could easily be a really overplayed pair of jacks, but you've also got to worry about mp3....the more I think about this though, the more I think you might be ahead. You are getting almost 2-1 on your money.

Re: AA, villian pushes
I think you're ahead enough to call this. I can't see a set more than 1/2 the time, and with 2:1 ...
I'd really expect a/9 clubs trying to bite off the pot or another overpair much more likely than the set. We'd know more if your raise PF was more and/or the flop bet was more. I like $4 or 5 PF and pot the flop on this to better define it. Drink More, RedRum |

Re: AA, villian pushes
Fold and I think itīs not even close...
Although I agree with the other posters that you need to make a bigger preflopraise and that you also need to pot the flop here. But as far as the flop you are beat here 95 times out of a hundred... your only hope i that BOTH MP3 and button is making a move on you here with something less than your pair of aces... In my book this is a really easy fold... |

Re: AA, villian pushes
I pushed (had button slightly covered), MP3 folded.
Button had 99, as I figured out while I waited for MP3 to act. I sucked out an A on the river, though. This hand kept me up for a while, I was really pissed because I dragged the pot and didn't get that immediate negative feedback that I should have gotten for calling an all-in with the worst hand. I seem to run into this situation a lot, overpair vs. flopped set, and I have a hard time getting away from it. Working on it, though. |
