Default Dell flat panel monitor died (again) after unplugging...

Last night my backup power supply started beeping, so I unplugged my monitor while it was in power-save mode (amber LED light). Now, after plugging back in to another outlet, the monitor wont start!

This has happened to me numerous times before, and it usually takes several days of having the monitor just sitting there plugged in until it mysteriously turns back on at a completely random time.

What is going on with it? Is there some kind of "reset" on the monitor (1701FP) that will make it start it up immediately? It is a 5 year old monitor and still works perfectly, so I'm not shopping around for another one just yet.
