party $50 6max hand #1
I'd appreciate any advice on this hand. I usually don't raise A10o from the blinds in this game with more than 1 limper. On the flop, I figured I had to find out where I stood and that was the purpose of the reraise. Villain turned out to be loose-passive, but I didn't have a read at the time. I was hoping he would let me know if he had the 4 after my flop reraise but alas no. What should I have done differently? Check the river? Thanks for responses!

Re: party $50 6max hand #1
You don't want to create a large pot with a mediocre hand on a dangerous flop. You bet & re-raised the flop so strongly that your opponent would be afraid to get aggressive even with a 4 in his hand. Then, you have no way to know where you stand.
I would bet about.75 on the flop & throw my hand away if raised.Since you were in the blind, you could easily have a 4.When he raises,it's too dangerous to continue. If he doesn't raise the flop,I would bet about $1.25 on the turn & about $1.50 on the river. |

Re: party $50 6max hand #1
ben hit it dead-on.
villain played his hand passively because you did betting on all-streets for him. I'm not sure why he didn't pop a raise on the river. |

This hand creates the kinds of hands that create problems TopPair Top Kicker... we want to keep these pots small as mentinoed above. |
