Default AA UTG

I think I got carried away on the flop. Looking back at it I probably should have just called the 3-bet on the flop and then check called down. Thoughts?

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (12 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, CO 3-bets, SB folds, BB calls, Hero caps, MP1 calls, CO calls, BB calls.

Turn: (14 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls, CO calls, BB calls.

River: (18 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB bets, Hero calls, MP1 folds, CO calls.

Final Pot: 21 BB

Capping the flop here is fine. It's likely you are going to get 3 bet by a hand like KJ or even worse. Sure the guy might have KQ or K9 etc, but I would cap it here everytime.

The rest of the hand looks fine as well.

I cap it. What are you behind? KQ and KK QQ 99 and J 10.

I'm playing this hand exactly the same way you played it. I used to fret over whether I was over-aggresive on the flop, but the guys around here set me straight.

I'm glad to here you all would cap. I felt like it was the correct play at the time but when I was going back through my hands it seemed too aggressive.

You raise under the gun and 5 people follow you to the flop? That is the last thing I'd think you would want to see with pocket aces and I'm guessing you came out empty here?

Yeah you are actually hoping everyone caps it behind you.

The last thing I'd want to see is everyone fold. I want everyone to see it capped.
