Conversing
When you engage in conversations with people who you intend to get to know better, do you plan out the kind of things you want to say or engage on the fly and pray there's no dead air? Or, a combination of both?

Re: Conversing
Both, generally. Think about particular topics that you want to know about them and lead the conversation in that direction. Find out what they like to talk about.

Re: Conversing
planning out conversations is odd imho.
when you start talking with someone with shared interests or at the very least, someone who's bright and open minded - planning should be the last thing to ever pop into your mind. |

Re: Conversing
Go w/ the flow. Planning seems sort of geeky. Like an interview or something. Play by heart.

For my next conversation, I'm going to talk about how I'm very good at going in reverse in my car and why Postum isn't a more popular drink. |

Re: Conversing
When you think about it, "manure" isn't a bad word. You've got the "ma," which is good, then "newer": "Ma" - "newer"

Re: Conversing
I think a lot of peopl ehave a basic greeting or introduction 'Hey whaddup' "sup kid" "yo dawg" "hello how are you today" "nice to see you again" depending upon your relationship with that person. Then you just gotta go with the flow.
