Default KQ hand

Regular PP .5/1, haven't been at the table long and haven't seen anything too crazy.

I get K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG, sometimes I raise this, sometimes I dont, this time I didn't, eh.

I call, 3 LP callers and both blinds play.

Flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players, 3 BBs)

I bet, 3 callers.

Turn J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players, 4.5BBs)

I bet and get raised by the next player and the other guys fold.

Call it down? Fold?

Call it down. You've got a gutshot, and it's possible that your hand is good or that pairing your kicker might drag you the pot. The pot is big enough to justify a calldown.

i'd raise this preflop about 100% of the time. other than that, i think that calling down is just fine.

Sorry Evan, I would only raise this in late position and it would have to be suited. I agree with the call down.

Yeah, call down w/o improvement.

I know you didn't post this for the preflop play and I'm sure you have your reasons why you didn't, but since some people had to comment I feel the need to step in. (I'm kind of like a SuperHero)

To Evan and Scott: This should almost always be an easy raise in any unraised pot outside the blinds.

Are you sure about that. UTG without being suited. Any Ace and he is beat. You gave Greg J the same advice as Evan and I. Did you get the position right?

I did call down. And I lost. I basically always call down in situations like this and it fells like I lose about 95% of the time if the turn raiser isn't a maniac.

The pot wasn't that big and it costs me 2BBs to see if I'm good. I'm beginning to wonder if its even worth it.
