Default The Theory of Limit Omaha 8

I am working on a theory of limit O8. It is something that every decent players knows, but I have yet to see a name attributed to it.

Sort of like the theory that David wrote about in TPFAP. The "gap theory." He said everyone knew about it, but he had yet to see it written down, discussed openly, with a name assigned.

I have no illusions that players don't know about this theory, but we don't really ever discuss it, nor have I seen any kind of unique name attributed to the theory. I can't figure out what I should call it, because every name that comes to mind is something that is completely different in another game, like HE or Stud.

Anyway, I just wanted to type out a quick FYI, so that I didn't forget to write about it, as soon as I get it more clearly cemented in my mind.

Maybe I should conduct a poll, so that the right name can be used.

Why don't you describe it, and then we can name it?

I'm guessing it's something to do with high/low card ratios and single/double suited groupings?

The gap theory is a very specific context. What will your "theory of O8" entail?

Blow me!

Okay, now that I'm past that, I will admit that my post was misleading and confusing (although no more confusing than the drunken drivel that WM posts on a regular basis).

I have this tendency to come up with grand ideas, and then never follow through with them, unless I am somehow held accountable.

How better to be held accountable than make an opening statement on 2+2??? Now I'll follow through at some point.

It's nothing earth shattering, believe me, no new revelation in the world of limit O8, but it's something we just don't talk about much, if at all, amongst ourselves. I want to remedy that.

Seems we still don't talk much about it.

Sigh. I'll be patient.

No. You need to give some broad with chemo-brain a shot of adrenaline so that she can clear her mind and organize her thoughts and type it out without sounding like an idiot, which may or may not happen anyway!

You obviously stole this line of thinking from Jerry Maguire. Remember this part of the movie?: "It's wasn't a memo. It was a mission statement."

Anyhow, this sort of thing is only going to lead to you in bed with an overrated, dumpy-looking actress who's got a kid that deserves to be bludgeoned to death with an iron skillet. Of course, if you post photos here (of both), I support it fully.
