Plaza HORSE
Well, I busted out in 5th place. Although it sounds good, it wasn't, because we only got 15 players, so 3 spots were paid.
Before you start crying, though, it was a huge "morale" victory for me. It was worth every one of the 10 hours I spent at that table. I played my heart out, even though I was in pain for at least the last five hours or so. I played so well that I even surprised myself. I also remembered why I like live poker so much better than online poker, and why I like Stud games so much better than NLHE. I learned a lot of things, in fact. Trip report coming soon. Re: Plaza HORSE
I didn't think I could do it. Especially after I developed a seroma and was sloshing around (no, you don't want to know).
I couldn't push my antes out as far as they should have been after the fifth hour (we were on a HE table, and I was at the end of the table, so the dealer had to really reach), and that is when I knew I was in trouble. I would pop 1/4th of one Percocet every 3 hours or so, and that kept me just able to manage the stiffness. I slept on and off all day yesterday, paying for my day at the Plaza, but I'm glad I did it, it was a great way to go out. I'm proud of that last hurrah before chemo starts. Re: Plaza HORSE
Glad to see you're playing again. Maybe OxyContin next time?
