Default Re: Why the higher stakes players play limit O/8?

[ QUOTE ]
Ive noticed that most people on here prefer the pot limit variety versus limit O/8. However, when I read or hear about pros playing O/8 it is always the limit version.

It is "ALWAYS" limit o/8 getting played by pros?
If you're talking about live play, then that's simply because pot limit games, especially split pot games take forever to play. People constantly asking how much they can raise etc.
However online there are plenty of pros, like me, who play PLO8 and do well enough out of it thank you very much. PLO8 is made for online and because there is a lot less information out there on the game, people play terribly at it. Fact is, there are plenty of pros who aren't interested in telling their story, much preferring to stay under the spotlight and just make their money.
