yeah.

but instead of putting 40% of your chips in with a PF raise, just push preflop after he opens.

Don't you think there might be a chance he doesn't have an Ace? I mean if he's got AK, why not check and trap?

he may be stop and going a medium pair... your not up against an ace as much as you think, I think he is calling your raise and pushing ANY flop.

theres obviously a chance of anything, theres a chance he has 72o.

the question is whether he has an ace here less than 55-65% of the time (roughly, if my math isnt too terrible), and I don't think that's the case.

That is tough, but he's raising from EP and calling your re-raise out of position.

I probably would have re-raised him from 1200 to 3,000 or so, not 4K. But I can't see calling his push here, you're either way ahead, way behind. With no other reads, I'm dropping here and trying to double up my remaining stack and get back in it.

Well I made the donkey call and won but the reason I posted is that I think Villian made a superb poker play. He really put me to the test on this hand and I nearly folded.

P.S. I'm not talking about his preflop play here, lol.

Damn, that's awesome Toro. Pocket 3's, yoikes. That's a ballsy move, raising from EP with such a vulnerable holding, then calling a re-raise out of position and pushing on a flop with one of the cards he should be worried about.

Yeah, he definetely donked it up, but it almost worked. Nice call.
