$135/hour on limit poker single table... Which limit do you play??

[/ QUOTE ]

That win rate can't possibly be sustainable at anything less than 50/100. You see what, 60 hands an hour per table online? Maybe 70... I can't see having this wr at 30/60.

wow what an enlightening thread. I always play no limit but may rethink my position after reading this thread. I only played it before when that was all a site offered (Crypto and PAcific)

I still like NL tourneys over limit though. Limit takes too long.

Limit will always be the most popular cash game for serious players and No Limit will always be the most popular tournament format because it is simply more manageable in tournament format then limit, i.e. fields can be peared down much much faster.

For me it's limit becuase of all the books on the game. That's what I've learn to play and do very well. I do want to branch out but researching very slowly. Hard to stop playing limit for a new game when I avg. $135 per hour playing one table at a time.

So you play 50/100 or higher and crush it?

Hi, I know this forum is pretty Limit oriented in terms of what its members play, but I play NL exclusively and do very well at it. I was wondering however, what the draw is to playing Limit over No Limit for you guys (or even vice-versa)? Is it that Limit is more math/statistic oriented? Too much variance in NL? etc...Thanks guys

Cheers,

No limit can't last forever, eventually the game's gonna crash because it busts the bad players too damn fast. Limit is long run.

In no way is what I'm going to say critical or sarcastic, but can you care to elaborate?

Limit sucks and it's boring--for me at least. In theory I guess I could make more playing limit, but the reality is that the slowness of limit is so irritating to me that I tilt quickly and make stupid mistakes. I'm much better off playing 10 tables of NL very tightly and just skim money--less stress and strain and (ugh) WAITING when some millionaire makes a chickenshit raise and it has to go all the way around the table AGAIN while everybody agonizes over their decisions. For me it's NL or nothing.
