Default AK off upfront

Three hands over the past 1000 that I have played on line have stuck out in my head. All of them involve AK off, right after the BB. I have raised all three times and didnt connect with the flop, and no real draws either. An example would be My A of c and K of d with a flop of 9 7 Q rainbow. Is betting out in early positon correct here? i cant seem to find the correct play?

Try posting the individual hands with reads on opponents. Another thing you could do is search. AK that misses the flop gets alot of air play here in the forums.

In my opinion, if you have more than a couple of opponents, that Q97 flop is not a good one to bet into if you have AK (especially out of position). Betting would sort of represent the queen, but more than that it would represent an auto-bet, and there are a lot of ways that flop could have hit one of your opponents.
