Did you actually drop an f-bomb on him? I would have. I don't think the old lady would have been offended in this particular case. Even though I'm a crass bastard I normally don't curse in front of old ladies but that deserves it.

I don't think you did anything wrong. Another option is to tell him not to tap on the glass, although I'm guessing he woulden't understand.

You did a good thing. I would imagine the others at the table thought the same thing. I hope granny stuck around to provide liquidity for your game.

You also showed restraint. If you had soaked him down in mace or used the Chris Ferguson "Kung Fu" Toss of Death card pitch and chopped his nose off his face, that would have been -EV.

Well, my first reply would of course be to kick the jerkoff in the nuts.

However, that might be slightly problematic when the nice men with the suits and the cattle prod are summoned to "have a little chat" with you.

So defending the little old lady is just fine with me. You certainly don't want her to leave. The jerkoff, well if he leaves, so be it.

I also think you did the right thing, though I'm surprised the dealer didn't say anything.

I applaud you for what you did. Maybe this a$$ will think twice about berrating someone at the next table he sits down at or maybe retires from poker completely. Where was the dealer during all this?

At the risk of blasphemy here, putting up with some crap ain't worth the money. And a jerk like that will eventually drive the other fish away.

good to hear that you guys would have done the same thing. no i did not drop the f-bomb on him. i really just sternly told him to either knock it off or try saying it to me. i'm not much of a fighter, but i'm a big guy and i figured he wouldn't try to call my bluff.
