it might be harder in the end game with red wizards
i've heard stories of people letting characters die intentionally and beating it with less than a full party though i was crazy about video games when i was younger

There's a site that has a FAQ for different levels of "perfect games" for FFVII. The highest level perfect game seems almost impossible to attain. You have to have the maximum number of every item in the game, mastered every materia, max gil, etc. I got to one of the mid levels.
My big feat: beating Tomb Raider with only the pistols.
