Fold preflop twice. Fold the flop. Turn is OK, smells like QQ.

I'd probably just call the turn, no real draws to worry about, and you might get MP3 along for the ride.

Well the table was playing pretty loose/passive I like to play suited connectors/1gaps in these situations from any position. I probably wouldn't have called much more than the SB raised preflop, although I felt it reasonable at least one person behind me would call the raise as well (and I didn't really fear a limp reraise from those guys, although I guess the button might have pushed all-in had he decided to play).

I hadn't really thought about his small bet on the flop, if anything I read it for weakness (maybe an AK that missed for example). I thought it was a reasonable risk to peel one getting ~5.5:1 plus the possibility of MP3 coming along...I'm folding the turn UI, but if I catch something it seems like I have a good chance of making a nice score. Maybe this is a leak and I'm overvaluing my hand in these sitautions.

The turn all-in vs. call decision was the reason I posted the hand. I wasn't sure which was the better option...if anyone cares to expand on this area I'd appreciate it. Mainly I'm wondering what my plans for the river should be if I call.

Looks fine to me. No reason to let MP3 in with a turn-call so he get odds to draw to a straight or so.

Which is a leak. Here's the deal: The majority of games, the majority of hands within those games, at NL25 and NL50, and to some extent NL100, are played loose-passively. You can join in the limpers parades and exchange chips back and forth with all the other LAP's. Or you can beat the game.

The way you beat loose/passive is to play the opposite: Tight/aggressive. You'll kill the game with a TAG mindset because all the other players will still continue on in there LAP ways. They'll call your PFR's with 75s OOP. They'll chase with 3rd pair. They'll chase with draws. They'll make bad decisions with QTo when they flop top pair.

Position is everything in NLHE. You can be TAG and still limp in on the button/CO with 75s. Play TAG with an eye on positional poker and you'll beat the NL25 game.

Purge the junky play now. Firm up the foundation of pure ABC/TAG poker. Your bankroll will be increased, as will your confidence. And then you'll have something to stand on when you move up in limits.

Thanks AJ, I appreciate your input. I've been on such a ridiculous rush since I started playing NL it's sometimes difficult for me to see the "big picture" and seperate what's really going to happen vs. what is actually happening on my rush. (I'm over 50PTBB/100, 1000+ hands in which is just silly....but fun.)

FWIW, SB had AA and MHIG.
